High density、high strength powder metallurgy innovative technology

 
For powder metallurgy parts manufacturer,to produce high strength and high density parts are always their main direction in technology.Now Sints has developed a new technology which are specialized in producing high strength Iron powder metal parts which can achieve density ≧7.6g/cm3 .Currently we have cooperated with a lot of auto parts company to develop a number of high density and high strength products.

一、High density parts sintering production process(NPM):

High density sintered metal parts was made by a kind of material that the mesh size is 5mu.During sintering,it will restrain the formation of pores to achieve high density products.Currently the traditional iron powder metal parts during sintering(1200 degrees) will appear liquid phase and melting to cause deformation,it will lead to fail in production.But using micro powder will not occur melting during high temperature sintering,that’s the key to get high density products..

二、High density sintered metal parts technology features(NPM)

Currently for auto parts or some types of mechanical components,when the parts density requires above 7.2g/cm3,,they cannot use traditional powder metal technology to produce,but only with casting,MIM or forging etc.and when using these technologies to produce complex components will appear low usage of material,double or tripple CNC work,which will directly increase the price.
Not only the cost of this new technology is lower than MIM and casting,but also solved the problem that the traditional powder metallurgy are hard to satisfy mechanical special requirement,meanwhile,the capacity and precision will keep the same as traditional PM.

三、The suitable market for high density sinter metal parts

The property of high density sintered metal parts:high density,high strength,high precision.For example,high strength iron powder metal parts can achieve density≧7.6G/CM3 , after post process,the hardness can achieve ≧HRC55.NPM technology is suitable in producing Iron and stainless steel material.
1、Stainless steel parts:Currently this can use to produce high pressure oil pump parts,like auto steering pump(traditional process is casting),disel engine high pressure spray-oil parts(traditional technology is CNC) and auto high strength gear in gearbox etc.
2、Iron parts:In the past,if the part requested density around 7.5g/cm3左,customer will choose casting or forging without any doubts.But now we can choose high density and high capacity NPM to replace. When the density of the parts achieve ≧7.6G/CM3 by using NPM,with post process the hardness can achieve≧HRC55。
